Walk Through Salak South
Salak South Garden and Naga Emas Garden have a history of about 56 years and currently have over 4,700 residential units. In August 2012, the more than 200 households of the 44-year-old Salak South Garden low-cost flats were finally granted strata titles, while residents hoped that the government would allocate funds to repaint the exterior of the buildings. Salak South Garden flats consist of five blocks, four of which are six stories high and one of which is 12 stories high, totaling 432 units, completed in 1968. At that time, the owners purchased the units at market prices ranging from RM 7,000 to RM 8,000 between 1968 and 1969. In October to November 2017, at the request of the residents and joint management committee in the area, Kuala Lumpur City Hall allocated funds to repaint the five blocks of Salak SouthGarden flats and to resurface all roads within the area, addressing the long-standing problem of road damage in the area.
